The topic of Juvenile Delinquency has been developed during the last decade at a rate that is exponentially higher than anyone could expect. The affects and major root causes of the occurrence are still not completely clear as there are numerous external and internal factors that jointly contribute to the growth of Juvenile Delinquency. Some of them, however, are more investigated than the others, as their importance was recognize in the first place. This research focuses on the ethnical factors that influence dysfunctional families, as this element represents a gap in the analysis of dysfunctional families’ impact on Juvenile Delinquency. Knowledge and evidence acquired from this research will significantly contribute to understanding of ethnical factors and their role in development of the cases on delinquency. The results can be used in both, academic and scientific sphere and could be further enhanced by the comparative research of other ethnical groups. This analysis as such will complete the list of factors that majorly affect the cases of delinquency.
The objective of the document is to provide qualitative analysis of the ethnical factors, influencing Juvenile Delinquency. With that in mind, the writer compared ethnically justified factors in dysfunctional families among black and white population in the United States. The research itself helped the writer to better understand various research methodologies, applicable to social analysis and topic of Juvenile Delinquency. The survey gave an insight into the real life examples and population-based analysis. One of the major learning that the writer gained during this research is comparative analysis and conclusions drawn by combining previous research findings with additional information obtained from the survey.
While working on the research paper, the writer made several conclusions and observations in regards to the best practices in approaching and selecting the sample that would best represent the population. The research, done in order to produce valuable and effective survey, enhanced writer’s knowledge of the research methodologies and qualitative analysis as such.
The work was based on narrow scale and two ethnic groups only that, on one hand, contributes to better quality of the information, but, at the same time, limits the findings and conclusions that can be conceptualised on higher level to include various ethnical groups. It is, therefore, an objective of the writer to continue the research and extend the investigation to other racial groups.
